Roundtable on Corporate Social Responsibility

“Educating women is good business” said Rossana Castrellón, a prominent business leader in Panama.

The regional forum on “Keys for the Development of Women’s Leadership in Latin America” was jointly organized by the More Peace Less AIDS Foundation and ICW Latina in Panama. With over 70 participants from 22 Latin American countries, issues were discussed such as corporate social responsibility led by a prominent Panamanian business leader, Mrs. Nivia Rossana Castrellón and accompanied by Jucara Portugal, representative for ICW Brazil.

By providing us with profound impressions that demonstrates her knowledge of the field, Castrellón is an indispensible reference for assisting us in understanding the more advanced reasoning of the entrepreneurial sector of Panama.
Throughout her lecture, she made many wise remarks such as:  “Together, with collective intelligence, we can be catalysts for change” or “Flexible work is needed to facilitate favorable changes in the social fabric, helping non-discrimination and to balance work with family”. Castrellón also added that ““the development of a country can be analyzed taking into account the health status of the women whom inhabit it”, in which her closing comments received applause from the audience.
